However, no one wants to just down protein powder and water on the daily.
So switch it up!
As a busy mom, protein powder is a staple in my diet. Mainly because it’s easy to use and portable.

- Use vegan protein powder
- Are dairy-free and gluten-free

- Are not protein shakes
Gone are the days when we need to binge eat chicken to hit our protein goals. Use these vegan protein powder recipes to not only fuel up but learn to enjoy what you eat too! Learn more about the benefits of a high protein diet.
Benefits Of Increasing Protein Intake
- Your immune system
- Weight loss
- Body composition (toning and muscle growth) in general
- How full you feel
- How much energy you have
Protein has a hand in almost every action in your body, so it would be silly not to acknowledge your protein consumption.
And though collagen powder recipes are one way to go about this, vegan protein powder is another delicious option.
How Are Vegan Protein Powders Different Than Whey Protein
Though both protein powders have their merits, they’re very different in how they bake, absorb, and break down.
Whey protein is very fast-absorbing and it tends to bake easily in most things.
Vegan or plant-based protein powder is made from nuts, seeds, and sometimes grains and so it tends to absorb much more liquid when mixed.
This means that (especially for the protein powder recipes below), vegan protein powder and whey protein powder are not interchangeable.

Which Plant Based Protein Powder To Buy
There are a lot of great brands you can use to make these protein powder recipes. Most of them have been made with Orgain Protein powder which has both a nice flavor and a non-chalky texture. Learn more about choosing a protein powder for your goals.

And though there are protein shakes, there's only a few. Though protein shakes are an easy way to amp up intake (check out my favorite energy protein shakes), I know you wanted some recipes outside of the basic box.
All the recipes are made with vegan protein powder only and also dairy and gluten-free.
I recommend grabbing vegan vanilla protein powder and chocolate protein powder to have on hand so that you can easily mix and match flavors.

Frequently Asked Questions About Vegan Protein Powder Recipes
Though both can be used in baked goods, smoothies, and no-bake snacks, collagen is not actually a complete protein source. Each day you need to replenish nine essential amino acids for optimal health (your body cannot make them). Which means they must come from food. A complete protein means it contains all nine. And though collagen doesn’t contain all nine essential ones, it does contain ones we normally don’t take in as much.
Altering the flavor of protein powder used in a recipe is a great way to change the flavor of the whole dish and keep it interesting.
You can add plant-based protein powder to baked goods like muffins, and bars. Oatmeal, or overnight oats. Even yogurt parfaits. Just remember that all protein powders absorb differently so adding some may alter the texture of a recipe.
Stocking up with both a vanilla protein powder and a chocolate is the best way to go. This allows you a bit of variety in flavors without having to use a full tub of a specialty flavor if you don't like it.

I was so excited about this…. I googled vegan protein powder recipes and this was the first post. However, the two recipes I opened both have eggs in them (muffins and brownie)!
Eggs aren’t vegan.
