So tasty: With these recipes you’ll find your favorite flavors that you crave throughout the month.
Protein Sources
All of the protein recipes use either collagen powder or protein powder (learn the difference between collagen and protein).
Collagen powder is a protein. It is mostly found in bones, skin, connective tissues, and meat. It can be made from any animal but is mostly made from cows, chicken, and fish. Though not a complete protein, it’s amazing for healing your gut, improving hair, skin, and nails, and is great for adding more protein to your diet. Vegan protein powder is what’s used for protein desserts. Know that each protein powder is unique in how it’s flavored and how it mixes with other ingredients. Learn more about choosing a vegan protein powder. Vegan protein powder cannot be subbed 1:1 for whey protein so you’ll need to adjust a bit if that’s what you use. My favorite brands for these recipes are Naked Nutrition Protein (least ingredients), Transformation Protein (most dessert-like taste), and Botanica Protein (overall best of both worlds).

FAQS
By adding collagen powder or protein powder to the dessert you can easily bump up the protein intake. Though not interchangeable, protein powder can replace flour in some instances and collagen powder can be used to thicken or bulk a recipe. If you learn to play around with your ratios, you can enjoy high protein desserts anytime of day. Likewise, using Greek yogurt or cottage cheese in your recipes can make for easy boosts as well.
