Diy Christmas Gifts
Coming into Christmas season always gets me both excited and in full blown anxiety attack. I adore the lead up anticipation, the warm cozy drinks (like this dairy free hot chocolate!) and making big batches of diy Christmas gifts. However, with all of that comes the freaked out “we only have x amount of days left until Christmas and have to do x,yz” feeling. And yet that feeling never deters me from taking time out to make simple, easy, cost effective gifts to let people know you were thinking of them.
One of the reasons I love diy Christmas gifts is that they’re so freaking customizable! Scents, choices, everything about them can be geared to the specific person you have in mind.
With the baskets I throw in a little bit of everything, self care items, candles, socks and maybe a coloring book – anything I can think of. i find these to be the most thoughtful way to make diy Christmas gifts!
But back to the insanity, on our wall in the kitchen is a big Christmas countdown. I tolerate this board because it’s cute, funny and my daughter loves it.
But, there’s a part of me every morning that glares at the board because it’s a beeping light reminder of ALL THE THINGS right beside my coffee machine (maybe I should move it so I’ve had coffee before I see it…).
But I suppose it’s all part of the season. A season I love (minus the cold!) and a season made even better by all the diy Christmas gifts you can make for others!
Diy Spa Baskets
Homemade spa baskets are easily my favorite to make because there’s no limit as to what you can throw in them!
This basket is perfect for all females but especially an expecting mama who naturally need some self care before the babe comes! Everyone needs a little pampering and this basket does just that. Put in as many or as few combinations as you’d like.
Homemade body scrub is the most cost effective way to say a little thank you. You can chose to scent your scrub so many different ways, it’s easy to make it custom ? I like to pair mine with a lip chap.
Candy Cane Hot Chocolate
This is a super fun gift for kids and adults alike! Buy the hot chocolate in bulk and portion into jars taping a small candy cane to the jar. I personally like to give this gift with a baileys sampler for the adults ?
Diy Lip Chaps
This is easily the best of the diy Christmas gifts because who doesn’t need lip chap?! I make a big batch of these and hand them out to clients and just about everyone else. I also pair them with almost all my gifts.
They work well for neighbors and acquaintances that you just can’t spend a lot of money on. Plus.. they smell amazing!
Easy to make (two ingredients!) bath salts pair perfectly with body scrub or lip chap to make a cute gift. Simply combine 1 cup of epsom salts and your favorite essential oils (I like peppermint!) to make an quickly thrown together present.
My girlfriend made me a “ninja soak” for my birthday (to ease sore muscles!) and it was one of my favorite presents- just so thoughtful!
Fyi, bath bomb molds make your life soo much more fun!
This baking basket is simply cute and I like to give it to anyone who likes to spend time in the kitchen! Again, put as many things or as few things into the basket as you wish!
A few years ago I spent some time learning to make candles (I’m not great at it). Thus, I have a zillion candles that I’ve been giving away as small thank you’s around Christmas.. for the last three years!
If you don’t make your own though, they still make a cute thoughtful gift!
Cookie In A Jar
I like to put this jar in with the bakers basket but it makes a great gift all on its own!
Homemade Body Butters
Homemade body butters are an awesome gift and again can be scented to preference. I personally love giving my workout friends this diy muscle rub but a favorite around the house is this peppermint foot lotion.
No homemade gift list would be complete without bath bombs! So freaking simple and so many options. Learn more about how and why to make bath bombs and then jump into your favorites!
Don’t forget to pin these diy Christmas gifts!
Making your own gifts is simple, thoughtful and far more cost effective than purchasing presents for everyone! Pick a few of your favorites, make big batches and customize as much as you can. I personally love receiving diy Christmas gifts and I truly love giving them!
