As a Certified Nutrition Coach, I am a firm believer in not eliminating things you love but making healthier, more fueling versions of them instead! Which is why i love things like protein dessert recipes.

These gluten free and dairy-free chocolate desserts are rich, indulgent, and most of them have some added fuel to tide you over. These gluten-free chocolate treats are all based around easy and healthy pantry staples and are great for Holiday occasions or informal family dinners.

    Choosing Dairy-Free Chocolate

The majority of the gluten free chocolate desserts are sweetened with natural sugars like maple syrup, bananas, and honey. They use cacao powder to get their rich chocolate taste (learn more about cacao powder).

For the ones that use a base of chocolate chips, I use Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips as they're an allergy-friendly chocolate and a wicked dairy-free swap.
