Deliciously creamy, this white chocolate freezer fudge is made with just six ingredients. Sweetened naturally with honey and paleo chocolate chips this dairy-free fudge needs no tampering and can also be made keto!

Three pieces of white dairy-free fudge stacked with cacao butter and more fudge behind them.

Indulge without the guilt and curb a mid-afternoon sweet craving.

The portions are small because this white chocolate freezer fudge is decadent with a delicious flavor.

However, though it is sweet, this fudge actually contains minimal sugars (and can even be made keto-approved).

It’s the perfect solution for a chocolate fix (though so are these chocolate peanut butter protein cups!).

    Ingredients You Need

Made with only six ingredients, the best part about this dairy-free fudge is that it comes together quickly (like most of my gluten-free dairy-free desserts).

Cacao Butter: this is what makes this freezer fudge recipe creamy! It also helps keep the texture of the fudge at room temperature.

Coconut Oil: used to thin the cacao butter and give it an indulgent flavor.

Cashew Butter: most nut butters will work but cashew butter is ultra creamy and indulgent.

Honey: used to sweeten the fudge while still keeping it as “white chocolate”. Using maple syrup or coconut sugar would obviously change the color.

Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips: optional but delicious. Enjoy life chocolate chips are paleo-approved. However, if you need this fudge to be keto-approved, omit them. It’s still delicious.

How To Make The Dairy-Free Fudge

This freezer fudge recipe is as easy as “measure, melt, and pour”.

    1. Measure out the ingredients
    2. Combine all ingredients except the chocolate chips in a small pot over low heat.
    3. Once mostly melted, remove from heat and whisk until smooth
    4. Pour into silicone baking molds or a parchment paper lined loaf pan.
    5. Drop a few chocolate chips into each mold
    6. Freeze for two hours to set

    Important Teaching Tips

Make sure to melt the ingredients over a low temperature. Otherwise, the nut butter will burn.

Likewise, as soon as the cacao butter is melted, remove the pot from the heat and stir to combine the remaining ingredients.

Don't rush! Let the fudge cool slightly before dropping in the chocolate chips or they will melt (though marble fudge is cool).

Once the chocolate chips are in, get the dairy-free fudge into the freezer quickly.

Almond butter or peanut butter can be used in place of cashew butter.

How to make the freezer fudge keto: if you want to scale back the carbs on this freeze fudge, simply eliminate the chocolate chips. if you do this, at 7 squares of fudge each one will have a carb count of 7 grams. Similarly, you can also opt to use refined sugar-free chocolate chips instead.

Frequently Asked Questions About Freezer Fudge

Can I use maple syrup in place of honey?

Though maple syrup can be subbed in, it will change the color and texture. Maple syrup will dilute the color of the white chocolate to a darker or light brown. And because maple syrup is not as thick as honey, your freezer fudge will melt just a bit more.

Can I use peanut butter in freezer fudge?

Any nut butter can be used in freezer fudge. Though this one uses cashew butter, swapping in for peanut butter or almond butter would be a fun flavor swap. Just make sure to use natural peanut butter so that it blends smoothly.

What does white chocolate fudge taste like?

This dairy-free fudge is smooth and almost creamy. It tastes a lot like downplayed honey with a hint of chocolate from the cacao butter. Most white fudges will taste much more like vanilla.

What is freezer fudge made of?

Traditionally, most fudge is made of cream/milk and sugar. It's the way you temper it that creates the fudge consistency. However, because this white fudge is dairy-free, it uses a blend of cacao butter and cashew butter to create its creamy texture

Is freezer fudge solid at room temperature?

Whether the fudge stays solid at room temperature greatly depends on how much coconut oil is in the recipe because coconut oil is soft when warm. This dairy-free fudge uses only a tiny bit of coconut oil and thus remains solid for over thirty minutes when sitting at room temperature.
