Looking to eat more healthy protein and bring up your daily intake? These high protein chicken recipes are the best place to start. Naturally dairy and gluten-free these chicken recipes are packed with flavor, nutrients, and everything good for you. So, skip the energy crash and use these high-protein dinners to keep your results coming.

Three chicken dinners with text in the middle.

If you’re bored of the same old, heavy-laden dinners on the table, I’ve got you covered. As a Certified Nutrition Coach, these are the chicken recipes I use for myself and my family.

Given the fact that I’m a mom to three, these high-protein chicken recipes are all also easy to make. Some can be meal prepped in advance, and others are dump and go in the slow cooker. But all of them are healthy, protein-packed, and family-approved.

    Why You Need Protein

Eating a high protein diet is about so much more than your muscles. Protein also helps:

Boost your immune system and keep you healthy throughout the cold season.

Keep you full which is especially important if you have weight loss goals.

Increase your metabolism as it takes more energy to break down.

Learn more about increasing your daily protein intake and how it can change the game for your day-to-day life.

Infographic with two columns on what protein does and what people think it does.

How Much Protein Do I Need?

Though the allotted official amount is 50 grams of protein per day, many of us in the sports world know that that amount is just far too low.

My recommendation for clients is to have everyone eat one gram of protein per pound of bodyweight per day. I find this amount helps clients with their fitness goals be they weight or strength-related related and it also helps keep us full from snacking. You’ll see a lot of changes in your body once you get up over 100 grams of protein per day.
