The best way to indulge, these high-protein single-serve desserts mean you don’t need to share! Increase your protein intake and curb your sweet tooth with these protein dessert recipes. They’re easy to make, naturally dairy and gluten-free, and the perfect way to satisfy a sweet craving.

As a Certified Nutrition Coach, one of my goals is helping to bridge the gap between eating a healthy diet and eating foods you enjoy. These high-protein single-serve desserts help to do just that.

They’re the perfect blend of sweet indulgence but packed with enough protein that they won’t leave your blood sugars and energy crashing moments later. All of the recipes use collagen powder or vegan protein powder as their protein source to transform regular recipes into protein-packed deliciousness- just like my Strong and Sweet Protein guide that focuses on dessert-like snacks with 17 grams or more of protein.

    Perks Of The Recipes

Easy to make: There’s nothing to fancy regarding skills for these protein desserts and if you have a stocked gluten-free pantry you should be good.

Healthy: I use that term loosely as it’s variable. However, all of the recipes listed are dairy-free, gluten-free, packed with protein and most use natural sugars like honey and maple syrup.

So tasty: With these recipes you’ll find your favorite flavors that you crave throughout the month.

What Makes The Recipes High In Protein

All of the protein recipes use either collagen powder or protein powder (learn the difference between collagen and protein). My recommendation for clients is to have everyone eat one gram of protein per pound of bodyweight per day and these ingredients make that a bit easier when you're busy.

Collagen powder is a protein. It is mostly found in bones, skin, connective tissues, and meat. It can be made from any animal but is mostly made from cows, chicken, and fish. Though not a complete protein, it’s amazing for healing your gut, improving hair, skin, and nails, and is great for adding more protein to your diet. Check out these foods high in collagen to work more in.

Vegan protein powder is what’s used for protein desserts. Know that each protein powder is unique in how it’s flavored and how it mixes with other ingredients. Learn more about choosing a vegan protein powder. Vegan protein powder cannot be subbed 1:1 for whey protein so you’ll need to adjust a bit if that’s what you use. My favorite brands for these recipes are Naked Nutrition Protein (least ingredients), Transformation Protein (most dessert-like taste), and Botanica Protein (overall best of both worlds).

    Single Serve Protein Desserts

Scroll through the protein recipes below to find some new favorites that you can whip up in just minutes. All of the recipes are dairy-free, gluten-free and can be made using minimal ingredients from the pantry. Plus, there’s a flavor for everyone so they’re a great way to busy through cravings!
