A simple, delicious, non-alcoholic drink to kick back with. This blueberry mocktail is paired with ginger and lime to give it a refreshing burst of flavor wrapped in sparkling water.

The perfect non-alcoholic cocktail for drinkers and non-drinkers alike, this blueberry mocktail is a great way to kick back and relax.

Whether you enjoy alcohol or not, sometimes it’s nice to sip on something fresh, beautiful, and light… without the buzz.

This blueberry mocktail works just as well for those hot summer days when you want to kick back as it does at Christmas or New Year's when you want something delicious to hold in your hand but you don’t want the tipsy that goes with it.

Likewise, if you’re currently pregnant, this low-sugar mocktail is a nice way to still feel included at the party (just like these pregnancy mocktails).

As a Certified Nutrition Coach, I love that this blueberry mocktail recipe is made with just a handful of ingredients that are all pretty easy to get your hands on.

    What Is A Mocktail?

At the very base, cocktails are different from mocktails in the sense that cocktails contain alcohol.. and mocktails do not.

However, there are a few more factors including flavors and how they're made as well.

Learn more about the exact difference between a cocktail and mocktail!

    Ingredients You Need

Frozen blueberries: opt for frozen blueberries in place of fresh blueberries because they give the healthy mocktail a much more refreshing feel to it.

Lime: fresh lime juice is always more flavorful than store-bought lime juice. Make sure to grab a ripe lime so you get more out of it than a harder one.

Ginger: if you’ve ever had ginger beer and loved it, this is going to light up your world! The ginger gives this blueberry mocktail such a potent kick you’ll think you’re sipping on hard liquor but you’ll wake up fresh.

Stevia: I always opt to add the stevia in last and let whoever I’m sharing with add theirs. This is so that you only add as much as you want in terms of sweetness. Both stevia drops and stevia packets work in the recipe.

Perrier: opt for unflavored Perrier so you can enjoy the real flavors of the blueberry ginger combination.

You can garnish the mocktail with these flower ice cubes if you want to step up the aesthetics too!

How To Make A Blueberry Mocktail

    1. Remove the frozen blueberries and let them sit to thaw for 10 minutes.
    2. Peel the ginger and slice it into big chunks.
    3. Muddle half the blueberries with the ginger.
    4. Divide the muddle mixture into two glasses with ice cubes.
    5. Divy up the lime juice and stevia.
    6. Add in the remaining blueberries, and top it with Perrier to combine.
    7. Garnish with a slice of lime or fresh mint and enjoy.

Important Tips To Make It Perfect Every Time

You can grate the ginger instead of muddling it however, some people don’t enjoy chewing small pieces of ginger in their refreshing drink.

If you slice it into bigger chunks and muddle it, you can easily pick them out if needed.

Add the stevia last or taste the drink before adding it. This way you can adjust the sweetness level to your own personal preference.

If you’re making this blueberry mocktail in advance, don’t add the perrier water. Follow all the steps before that and add the perrier just before serving. This way you don’t lose any of the sparkling bubbles.

If you don’t love stevia, a tiny bit of honey or maple syrup tastes delicious too. Adding something like rosehip syrup would add some sweetness too and a punch of unique flavor.

You can make this blueberry mocktail recipe into more of a mojito (or a blueberry mint mocktail) by muddling in some fresh mint to the blueberry syrup mixture.

This blueberry mocktail recipe is best made fresh. Made in advance or stored, it becomes too watered down and loses its flavor.

If you love blueberries, rock these blueberries in chocolate too!

    Frequently Asked Questions About Mocktails

I love ginger and I thought it went so good with the blueberries. I used simple syrup instead of stevia. Yummy.
