    How to Start 2025 Strong

Modified: Mar 2, 2025 · by Shelby Stover · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

Skip the chaos of the huge changes you need to be making and use this easy system instead. As a Certified Strength and Nutrition Coach, it's much more about the lasting changes you create, not about the big ones that set you up to fail.

It’s a new year, which means you’re probably being bombarded with all the things. You know the ones:

    • "Lose 30 pounds in 30 days!"
    • "Do this crazy restrictive diet that leaves you dreaming about bread!"
    • "Work out until you hate everything!"

    No, thank you.

Look, I know the pressure to overhaul everything can feel overwhelming—especially when mom life already has you stretched thinner than the last pancake in the stack. But here’s the thing: starting strong in 2025 doesn’t mean you have to do a full 180.

If you want long-lasting results like energy, strength, and confidence, it’s about small changes that fit into your life and actually work.

3 Simple Changes To Help You Excel This Year

    So, where do you start?

Here are three simple changes that pack a big punch:

    👉 Aim for 10,000 steps a day.
Not a runner? Don’t sweat it (literally). Walking is one of the simplest ways to boost your mood, increase your energy, and sneak in some movement that in turn burns calories—whether it’s chasing your kids or taking a quick stroll during nap time. In fact, daily extra movement is one of the crucial weight loss hacks I get my clients to invest in.

    👉 Eat more protein.
No, you don’t need to live like a bodybuilder, but adding a little more protein to each meal can boost your energy and keep you full longer (less hanger = more sanity). Seriously, protein has a ton of benefits for everyday health. Learn more about how to eat more protein and check out my favorite collagen powder recipes.

👉 Move your body, even if it’s just 5 minutes.
You don’t need an hour or fancy equipment. A quick workout or even chasing the kids around counts. Progress is about consistency, not perfection. Once you nail down 5 minute workouts, scale up.

    Why Small Changes Work:

Because they’re doable, when you make changes that don’t feel like climbing Mount Everest, you actually stick with them—and that’s where the magic happens.

This year, let’s ditch the crazy goals and focus on the little things that make you feel good, strong, and energized. And if you’re ready to kickstart that journey, I’ve got something that can help:

The Sweet & Strong Kickstart Bundle is packed with high-protein recipes that crush cravings and a 16-week workout plan to get you stronger in less time.

Let’s make 2025 the year you show up for YOU—no overwhelm, just small, sustainable steps.
