in a heat-safe jar, add the first four ingredients.
Place the cinnamon stick in a plastic bag and crush with a hammer. You don't want it to be powder, just small broken pieces.
Add the cinnamon to the jar.
Heat a small pot of water until a rolling boil (about two inches of water). Add the jar into the water.
Let the jar sit in the water while the ingredients melt fully. Once melted, whisk. Leave the jar in the hot water for 15-20 minutes so that the cinnamon can infuse.
