Ingredients

  • Juice of one orange roughly ⅓-1/2 cup
  • 1 cup mango frozen
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 2 ice cubes
  • ½ avocado
  • ¼ cup vanilla protein powder
  • ¾ cup almond milk

Instructions

  • Juice the orange and add it to the blender. Add remaining ingredients.
  • Pour in the almond milk.
  • Blend on high until fully combined.

Notes

depending on your blender you may need to add additional water as this shake becomes nice and thick!
This smoothie is delicious as is but you can also top it with coconut whipped cream or homemade granola.
Frozen spinach blends smoother than fresh spinach but both will work.
Pea protein powder will absorb more liquid and make the mango avocado smoothie thick. Whereas a coconut or blended protein like Orgain will give a sweeter taste but not absorb as much.
To make this energy smoothie paleo and whole30-approved, sub in collagen powder for protein powder. You may wish to add a date to the mix to counter any flavor differences as collagen powder is flavorless.
