Ingredients You’ll Need

Chocolate Protein Powder

This donut recipe uses vegan chocolate protein powder for the base know that kind of protein powder you choose will determine the texture and flavor of the Donuts fermented vegan protein powders especially tend to absorb a little bit more liquid than others.

Gluten-Free 1:1 Baking Flour

Make sure to use baking flour and not all-purpose as these flours do absorb differently.

Peanut butter

Any nut butter can be used in place of peanut butter but the chocolate peanut butter combo is a classic in my opinion.

Cacao powder

Cocoa powder can be used but there are some slight differences between cacao and cocoa powder.

Unsweetened Applesauce

Make sure to grab unsweetened applesauce so you don't amp up the sugar in the donuts.

Vanilla Stevia

If you cannot get your hands on vanilla stevia specifically obviously you can use vanilla extract and then a few stevia drops.

1. In a mixing bowl combine the dry ingredients and mix well. 2. One by one add in the wet ingredients. 3. Mix until combined and thick. 4. Fold in the chocolate chips. 5. Portion into a greased donut pan and form the batter. 6. Bake for twenty minutes and let cool briefly in the pan.
