Healthy Caramel Popcorn (dairy & gluten-free)
This healthy honey caramel popcorn is loaded with sweetness, crunch, and flavor! A healthy caramel corn recipe that's simple to make, based on real-food ingredients, and perfect for indulgence. It's full of mouth-watering homemade caramel sauce and topped with crunchy nuts
Servings 9 cups
Make the popcorn by heating the oil in a pan and air popping (or use a popcorn maker!).
Transfer to a large bowl when finished.
In a small pot on low heat combine the nut butter, honey, syrup, and salt. Whisk until combined.
Toss the chopped nuts in the popcorn.
Pour the melted combination over the popcorn and mix immediately with a spatula.
Keep mixing until everything is coated, and sticky. Place in the fridge for thirty minutes to harder and then portion.
Note: use 1 1/3 cups of the nuts total in any variety you enjoy! Makes 9, one to one and a half-cup servings
All of these ingredients can be found from my Pantry Staples.
