Whipped Honey Body Butter
Homemade body butters are easily one of my go-to products. In fact, homemade lotions were the first thing I began making when I started changing over my beauty products. They’re simple, smell great and insanely moisturizing for your skin! This whipped honey body lotion (like my diy grapefruit butter) is full of natural ingredients that will help your skin stay soft and smooth.
Honey has long been said to help improve the appearance of skin inflammation and scaring- making it a great addition to a homemade lotion! Not only can it help with tissue regeneration but it’s healing properties and amazing scent make it ideal to add to a homemade body butter with beeswax.
The other ingredients in the whipped body butter all promote silky, soft and smooth skin also. This means that this diy honey lotion is amazing for the entire body but specifically the legs and tummy. Be careful using it on your face however as it is oil based.
Like most homemade body butters, once you apply the whipped body butter wait a few minutes before putting clothes on so that your skin has time to absorb the oils. Not only will this keep your skin soft but it prevents your clothes being ruined too!
I didn’t scent this homemade body butter recipe because the honey and beeswax create a light, calming scent but feel free to add any essential oils you’d prefer.
Side note: if making your own body lotion is still a bit overwhelming (even though this is literally three ingredients) or if you’re just too lazy to make some this second. Grab the almond vanilla body butter from Primally Pure. It smells effing AWESOME and Primally Pure uses only natural, chemical free ingredients. Seriously, I can pronounce and buy them all. #win If you do end up on their site, use fitasamamabear to save yourself 10% off your entire first order!
