Are you ready to boost your energy and confidence? Then you KNOW you should be eating more protein (check out the benefits of a high protein diet).
And while adding some hemp hearts and avocados to your diet can help in small ways to amp up your intake, what you really need is the BIG stuff. The foods that are highest in protein to make sure you’re over 100 grams per day.
Best Protein Sources
As a Certified Nutrition Coach, the foods below are 4 of my favorite “big bang for your buck” protein sources that I make sure to work into my diet.
They all have a great amount of protein per gram and are easy to whip up into snacks or full dishes. These protein sources help you lose weight and get lean.

Chicken
This is obvious and stupidly easy to enjoy. Meal prep this with something like teriyaki chicken or honey baked chicken so that you can throw it on top of anything and everything or make a chicken taco skillet because everyone loves it.
Beef
Ground beef, steak, however you want to enjoy it this is a game changer when you up your intake.
I use things like steak bites, teriyaki meatballs, and slow cooker ground beef to keep some on hand for snacks and lunches to keep intake high.
Greek yogurt
I WISH TO GOD I tolerated dairy because Greek yogurt is such a killer protein source and a yummy one.
If you tolerate it, embrace that sh*t. If not, do what I do and mix collagen powder into vegan Greek yogurt.
Egg whites
Hear me out, you’re probably thinking why the whites and not the eggs? Eggs are AMAZING and something I eat every day in a chicken omelet or a beef and eggs scramble.
But one egg only has 6g of protein. So your two eggs a day isn’t really getting you far. Couple that with the fact that egg whites have 11 grams of protein per 100 grams and they’re a much more wicked choice.
I like to rock 2 eggs plus egg whites to amp up my intake or make egg white wraps to use for meal prep.
